I heard myself say last night to Kaye, my Toe Reading Instructor, that I have not thought of myself as more than a $10/hour person.

That made me feel so ashamed. Why do I believe it? Because that is what I have brought into my life as a BELIEF. After reading Gregg Braden’s, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief … Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits, I must take full responsibility for this lie to myself.

I’ve reinforced this $10/hour belief every time I drive to work, show up on time with a great big smile and great attitude, only to be frozen out because “they” decide to provide little heat in the building.

Today, I’m claiming my rightful place on this planet. My true destiny, which is to finish what Tita (my great grandmother) began in the 1930s and 1940s — healing, helping, liberating women from their false beliefs and boundaries.

I cannot be afraid any more.

The metaphor (showing up in my own toes, and I think in Gaia’s “toes”) is blocked energy. ENERGY IS ABUNDANT & FREE! Spiritual Energy is available to me if I would just claim it. And too, free energy is available to the planet.

We are stuck/blocked in our chakras, without the flow of universal energy in our life. The as above, so below lesson is that the planetary chakras have also been stuck/blocked (people programed to believe) that we can’t have the abundant, free energy that is rightfully ours. And yet; as we speak, there are White Hats creating a new paradigm for energy … cold fusion … free energy … for all of mankind.

I am ready to change.

I will receive all that is available to me from the universe. I will declare this truth to those that are ready to receive this message. There is no better way for me to accomplish this than to use Toe Reading. Toe Reading has come into my life, and to this planet, at the right time. It will answer to those that are asking …. “Am I Walking My Destined Path?” Once answered, it will help release the old paradigms in their life and allow for the TRUTH to fill the void.

Yesterday, I was sad and out of sorts because I “felt” I couldn’t help my daughter and precious grandchildren with my time or money. I was given a very poignant lesson — give and it will be given to you.

I will not let my wrong beliefs about abundance and prosperity hold me back any longer. I will believe the truth now. I welcome all that is freely mine into my life.

I have work to do. I have love and life to give. I will NOT allow others to “define” my worth. I will eliminate the false boundaries I placed around myself. I will learn to FEEL the goodness, the light, the universal energy that is rightfully mine. I will NOT settle for less. I will NOT worry or fear my walk. I will TRUST myself. I will merge into light.

This is my day of FREEDOM … to once again … DO, BE, BECOME my destiny.

2012 Will Be My Year!

I am looking forward to 2012. I’m planning to make it one of my best years ever. So much HARD work went into the last decade to get me to a somewhat organized lifestyle. This was important because I plan to do something totally new and “outside the box”.

I’m going to be a TOE READER and am starting Toe Reading Classes on January 2 at Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts. I think this is a perfect fit for me because it’s making sense of a puzzle that is different for every single human being. Hopefully it will help folks get more in touch with their inner self, which is what my new series of 7 books (6 more to be published), Take Back Your Power, is about.

“Dreaming Song” is the name of my Blog.

I hope it will inspire you to live a simple, healthy, happy life. Women’s Health and Beauty is a topic we all care about – for themselves and in their Homes. More specifically, it’s about Healthy Living, Intuitive Home Design, and about my own life as a “resistantly” aging Baby Boomer. I hope the stories and ideas about “healthy aging and ageless beauty” will inspire you to DREAM for BIG things to happen in your own life.

Here’s the story behind the name … and as you read it, you might enjoy listening to
Izzy Kamakawiwo’ole’s song, ”Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

Many years ago I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was often that we came upon a rainbow – right upon us, in fact. Truly, it was like passing through emerald green daylight. While there, we listened regularly to Hawaiian music, and especially loved Izzy’s music. My favorite song is his medley, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “What a Wonderful World”. It seems most appropriate to feature his song in this post, especially in response to my previous post, “The Rainbow Connection”.

I came upon the expression, “Dreaming Song”, in the movie, “Austrailia”. The reason I was drawn to it was because of the beautiful, magical connection Baz Lurhmann created between Lady Ashley and Nullah throughout the movie, and his linking of the song, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to that expression .

First she told him the story about the far-away land and sang him the song. It was a song that gave him a reason to stop mourning, and begin a new “story”. Nullah called it, “The Dreaming Song”, and it never left him from that point on.

“The dreaming song” connected their hearts together. Whenever they parted, he said, “I’ll sing you to me, Mrs. Boss”. The song penetrated the “noise of their lives” and reminded them to hope together, for each other … for a new story.

Since it’s important to name your Blog, I decided to call mine, “Dreaming Song”. ”Dreaming Song” is a Blog that encourages us to make our Lives & our Homes naturally Beautiful, Healthy & Happy.

It’s also about my life experiences, especially as a home design Consultant, natural health & beauty Advocate, “resistantly“ aging Baby Boomer, Author, Toe Reader – Soul Coach, Photoshop Dabbler, Country Music Enthusiast, and Reality Show “Philosopher”.

My hope is that ”Dreaming Song” will connect us to each other, and allow us to weave our hopes and dreams together. I’m sure we’ll have lots of good “stories”, and learn how to sing them out into the far-away lands.

“Show Me the Passion!”

Having passion in our lives is a whole lot better than having money. Unfortunately, it’s not reality for most of us. I’ve come to realize that "passion" is a luxury. Do you remember when we were younger, how we were told to find a way to do what we loved doing no matter how much we got paid for it? Although I’m not one to fill my mind with "woulda, shoulda, coulda", I do wish that I could find a way to do what I’m passionate about rather than settling for what I know how to do.

Today marks the day for completing my first week at my new job. Rather than say negative things about the job, I should point it back to me and admit that I’m the one at fault. I haven’t found the right match for me. What I need to do is use the time at my present job to redefine the elements in a job that are important to me, and learn how to eliminate the elements that I don’t like. If I can do that, my time will be well-spent.

I hope that one day I wil report to you that I am doing exactly what I love doing, rather than doing what I have to do. Until then …

Today, I want to give you some great home decorating and room design ideas to help you get started on your Dream Home and be able to Design, Decorate and furnish your home – these are the same ideas I recommend to my Clients and they’ll help you with natural and intuitive Do-It-Yourself projects for your Home & Garden.

Tapping into my experience of Home Design & Home Furnishings, I’ll tell you exactly how to Personalize your Room Design & HomeDecorating Style AND also how to save a lot of money when purchasing things for your Home. My sincere wish is for you to get to live in the Home of your Dreams! Also, at end of this video [article], I’ll tell you how to access a very good Free Interior Design service.

First, let me ask you a question. Are you as addicted to Home & Garden TV as I am? If so, can you believe just how fantastic a resource we have for Room Design & Decorating Ideas? It gives us thousands of dollars worth of up-to-date DIY Home and Garden tips and ideas, which used to be the exclusive tools of Interior Designers. Of course, there is a flip side to all this information – there’s just so much of it that we sometimes end up getting INFORMATION OVERLOAD. So to help us better use it, I decided to make a video [and publish the transcript, which is this article].

I’m going to give you 3 very cool Tips that’ll make it easier and more affordable to Design, Decorate & Furnish your home exactly like you want it – the operative words being: “exactly like you want it”.

Now going back to HGTV for just a minute more. It’s definitely become our “Go To” TV Channel and Website for Home Decorating ideas & Room Design tips, and the good news is that we know it’s just going to get bigger and better each year. But the one thing HGTV can’t do is “personalize” their Decorating & Design advice. Rather, it has to be GENERIC in order to make it useful for all of us. This means that it can be very confusing, and very hard to personalize and make our own.

So what’s the SOLUTION?

The Solution is to put YOU front and center of your HOME and Garden Design puzzle. If we can do that, then everything else will fall into place. Believe it or not, you actually have quite a bit of intuitive Design Sense, and I’m going to tell you how you can access it and use it! Ready?

OK, here are the 3 Ideas that’ll put YOU dead center in your Home & Garden Design Puzzle. These ideas will cost you less than $25 and I PROMISE, they’ll be worth far more than that – they’ll be ideas you can use for a lifetime.

Idea #1: Take about $5 and go to Barnes & Noble (or someplace like it.) Plan to stay about an hour. Go to the MAGAZINE rack (no books allowed). Look at all the covers in the Lifestyle & Home & Garden sections. The trick is to Stand back and study all the magazines in front of you. Then pick only the covers that draw you to them.

If I had to guess, you’ll probably pick 10-15 magazines.

Now get a cup of coffee or tea, and a treat. Find a cozy spot – preferably a table. The goal is NOT to buy the magazines. It’s to fill your heart & mind & your senses with colors, shapes, and new ideas about Home and Garden. Don’t take notes, don’t buy any magazines. Just take it all in. Get more magazines if you have time. But again, only those that draw you, and don’t buy any – although you might do so later. The reason this is so powerful is because you’re inputting this information to be used at a later date. Very important and be sure to do this as your first step.

IDEA #2: PROFILE your Dream Home. This will only cost $19. OK, here’s the Secret. Furniture Stores are hurting in a big way and have been for quite some time. To counteract this, many stores are now offering FREE Interior Design Service. Now here’s rest of the Secret … they say it’s with purchase but usually it’s not. Just be sure you’re not paying a fee up front. Also, know that some stores may offer more than others, but ask for it – whether you’re shopping at Ashley Furniture, Bassett, Thomasville or Robb & Stuckey (to name a few). Even if they don’t promote it, they’ll probably have someone in the store who can do it for you.

Now you might be concerned about the quality of Interior Design Service from a Furniture Store, but it’s my personal experience that Sales Associates (or Design Consultants) are now being hired with an Interior Design background, or at the very least, being trained in basic Room Design. They’re also given access to quality Room Design tools. So be sure to take advantage of this new development. I know you’ll really get fantastic ideas and plans when you’re ready to decorate & furnish your home.

Last Chance … Not Even!

I bet the movie, Last Chance Harvey, is very niche specific and won’t get great reviews. Definitely a chick-flick for those of us a little down on our luck. That’s why I went to see it; so that I could experience the happy ending to Harvey’s sadness.

I’m bringing this up because I liked his last words. She asked him about what he was presently doing, His answer … "I’m in transition."

Transition is fine once you deal with the reality of a closed door. Oh, the pain of it. The questions, the sadness, the tears, the what ifs, shoulda, coulda, woulda stuff.

Well, today I bought a new purse. For me, this signaled my acceptance of that door. I looked at my tattered old purse and thought, it’s much like how I’ve felt for a long time. My new purse is soft, good-looking, and will meet all my needs. It’s new. So for a while, this is going to be my a symbol of all the new things that will come my way.

Old, worn out Harvey had a smile on his face and a renewed dignity. So will I.

Just Give Me 15 Minutes …

of Fame. We all want it! And by golly, if we don’t get it one way, we’ll try another. Then we start questioning ourselves … if only I could be … if only I could do … if only I could meet …. if only I were younger … taller, smarter, prettier, skinnier. You know what I mean. If only …

I, myself, am suffering from this desire for that illusive "15 minutes". But, I have to remember a few things from all my years of studying history. Although, I know fame is a function of the “who-you- know- world”, it’s even more a function of an “already planned” world – not from a religious point of view, but from a Historical point of view – (a cyclical one, not linear).

I’ve recently offered a taste of my thoughts about “cyclical history” in my first article to Blog Critic – “Taylor Swift & Friends – Millennial Entertainers Remove the Gloom”. As I wrote, much of what I believe was validated by the book, “The 4th Turning”, which I still use to uncover likely future events.

Another way I consider FAME, is as a function of “The American Dream – Idol Style”. (I’ll soon have this article written.) Let me just say three words – Skill, Authenticity & Resonance. Last night, for my New Years entertainment, I watched Taylor Swift on GAC (Great American Country) count down the Top 50 Videos of the Year. I was blown away (again) about how adorable and confident she is. The Hottest Girl in Country!

Anyway, out of 30 Videos, there was one that totally got me – Sugarland’s “Already Gone”. It’s one my favorite Sugarland songs. Take a look at the Video and I think you’ll see how it captures their “Star Quality”, especially when they look into the camera at about the 3.40 mark. Awesome – they are 100% transparent – That’s what draws fans to them. That’s why people relate – they are HONEST and TRUE to themselves … and they let us see them for who they are … just like Taylor.

I’m a Country Girl from way back. America – We are Real Deal! Like Miranda Lambert sings, we can be famous in our small towns, and in our own little circles. I’ve got to remember that.
